Bye Aerospace CEO and Founder recognised as a 2020 Titan 100
Bye Aerospace CEO George E. Bye has been named a Titan 100, an inaugural programme that recognises the top CEOs and C‑level executives in Colorado, USA, for their exceptional leadership, vision and passion.
In addition to being the founder of Bye Aerospace, Bye is the innovator behind the company — with two decades of experience as an aerospace entrepreneur, engineer and executive, leading internal development and research of advanced aircraft concepts.
It is currently developing FAR 23-certified general aviation aircraft, starting with eFlyer 2, for the flight training role. The eFlyer family of aircraft produce no CO2 — making them environmentally friendly.
Commenting on his recognition, Bye said he was deeply honoured to be recognised. He added: “Bye Aerospace is on a quest to become the first company to FAA-certify an electric airplane under FAR 23. We appreciate the support shown by the Colorado business community, especially programs like Titan 100 that recognise leaders for their tenacity and drive.”
Bye is also a well-known electric aviation pioneer and conceptual design engineer, who has been asked to consult with major OEMs on their advanced development programmes.
He has written articles for industry journals, textbooks and publications, holds a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Washington and is an ATP rated pilot with over 4,000 flying hours.
He was also a USAF instructor pilot in the supersonic T‑38 for Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training, C‑141B Aircraft Commander and is a Desert Storm veteran.
He, along with other members of Titan 100, will be recognised at a special event on 10th September. The Titan 100 program is presented by Titan CEO and headline sponsor, Wipfli LLP.
Jaime Zawmon, President of Titan CEO, added: “The Titan 100 are shaping the future of Colorado’s business community by building a distinguished reputation that is unrivaled and preeminent in their field.
“We proudly recognise the Titan 100 for their successes and contributions. We know that they will have a profound impact that makes an extraordinary difference for their customers and clients across the nation.”
The 2020 Titan 100 and their companies collectively employ more than 83,000 individuals and generate over $56 billion in annual revenue. They will be published in a limited-edition Titan 100 book and profiled online.
