CAE’s full flight simulator to train the first wave of Eve Air Mobility’s eVTOL aircraft pilots

Embraer-CAE Training Services (ECTS), a joint venture between Embraer and CAE, has purchased its first full‑flight simulator dedicated to training pilots for Eve Air Mobility.

Announced at last week’s Singapore Airshow, the simulator will be the first device delivered to ECTS following its selection in October 2024 as Eve’s training provider. It will be operated by ECTS to deliver training to Eve and its customers.

The FFS will also play a critical role in the certification process for Eve’s eVTOL aircraft and preparing pilots for safe, efficient operations ahead of Eve’s planned entry‑into‑service.

Alexandre Prévost, President, Civil Aviation at CAE and ECTS Board Member, said: “As development at Eve Air Mobility progresses, high‑fidelity simulation is key to training the first wave of pilots and ensuring a safe entry into service of this new aircraft.

“CAE and ECTS are proud to support Eve in developing a scalable, certifiable training ecosystem. This simulator sets a new benchmark for advanced air mobility training infrastructure and underscores our shared commitment to safe, seamless urban air transportation.”

The CAE 3000 series full-flight simulator integrates high-fidelity motion cueing, a precision flight deck replica, and the next-generation CAE Prodigy™ Visual System powered by Unreal Engine, delivering the ultra‑realistic training environment required for commercial single‑pilot eVTOL operations in dense urban settings.

The simulator will be integrated into the ECTS global training network, leveraging Embraer’s decades of operational excellence and CAE’s broad footprint in major aviation hubs. The infrastructure will support pilot, maintenance, and ground handling training as part of EveTechCare, the company’s comprehensive aftermarket services portfolio.

Ayslan Anholon, Vice President, Flight Operations & Training, Embraer Services & Support, said: “We have had a successful partnership with CAE over the last years to train pilots to operate our commercial and executive jets worldwide.

“Now, we are happy to extend our long-term collaboration with CAE to provide the best training tools for operating Eve’s eVTOL aircraft. Together, we will continue to advance safety and operational excellence even further.”

Luiz Mauad, Vice President, Customer Services at Eve Air Mobility, added: “This simulator is a critical investment in ensuring Eve pilots receive world-class training as we advance toward commercial operations. It strengthens pilot readiness while reinforcing our unwavering commitment to safety and operational excellence.

“It also reflects our disciplined approach to scaling operations responsibly, ensuring our training infrastructure evolves in lockstep with aircraft certification and market entry.”
