Dan Sloat to lead Electro.Aero’s next chapter after joining company as President

Aus­tralia-based Electro.Aero has announced Dan Sloat as the com­pa­ny’s incom­ing Pres­i­dent.

Dan will lead the next phase of growth for the company’s glob­al busi­ness. This will include strength­en­ing team cul­ture, estab­lish­ing the US head office, ensur­ing con­tin­ued legal com­pli­ance and expand­ing busi­ness devel­op­ment oppor­tu­ni­ties.

The team will also be rais­ing a Pre-Series A round after many years of effi­cient boot­strap­ping, util­is­ing some of this growth cap­i­tal to tar­get attrac­tive near-term elec­tric charg­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties at cur­rent aero­dromes and air­ports.

Industry Experience

Dan brings a wealth of lead­er­ship expe­ri­ence to the role. He is the founder of the Advanced Air Mobil­i­ty Insti­tute, for­mer CEO of a US ver­ti­port com­pa­ny, advi­sor to the World Eco­nom­ic Forum AVIATE Com­mit­tee and pri­or US Air Force Cap­tain, where he earned a Human­i­tar­i­an Ser­vice Medal.

This year, he was also named a top elec­tric avi­a­tion indus­try leader in eVTOL Insights’ Power­book, along with Joshua, who was includ­ed in the 2022 edi­tion.

The Advanced Air Mobil­i­ty Insi­tute were also award­ed ‘Com­mu­ni­ty Engage­ment Team of the Year’ at eVTOL Insights’ first Glob­al AAM Awards.

Com­ment­ing on this appoint­ment, Dan said: “What always impressed me about Electro.Aero was the all-in com­mit­ment to safe­ty and estab­lish­ing robust indus­try stan­dards.

“For exam­ple, Dr. Rudd, Head of Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion, already helped the com­pa­ny achieve ISO 9001 qual­i­ty con­trol and 14001 envi­ron­men­tal cer­ti­fi­ca­tions. And Richie Wat­son, the CCO, serves as Chair­man of the AE-7D Air­craft Ener­gy Stor­age and Charg­ing Com­mit­tee to har­mo­nize inter­na­tion­al efforts.
