DUBAI AIRSHOW 2025: Jia Xu of SkyGrid on How its Autonomy Technology Is Shaping Future AAM Operations

At this year’s Dubai Airshow, eVTOL Insights’ Executive Editor Jason Pritchard spoke with Jia Xu, CEO of SkyGrid and heard more about the company’s work in the Advanced Air Mobility market.

Jia goes into detail about the next technical or regulatory milestone the company is targeting, to enable large-scale autonomous operations. He also talks about how SkyGrid sees itself when connecting drones and eVTOL aircraft to broader ecosystems.

Additionally, Jia shares more information about SkyGrid’s working relationship with Wisk, after the company became a subsidiary in June 2025.

He deep dives into the potential of the Middle East region, building digital flight corridors or real-time deconfliction for AAM autonomy and how technology can integrate with traditional air traffic management systems.
