LYTE Aviation Secures Conditional Purchase worth €500 Million for 10 of its SkyClinic VTOL Aircraft

LYTE Aviation has announced a receipt of ten Conditional Purchase Orders (CPA) from Vman Aviation Services for its SkyClinic aircraft, a purpose-built hybrid-hydrogen electric tandem tilt-wing VTOL.

LYTE says the agreement represents a total order value of €500 million with milestone-triggered deposits of €10 million, adding that it marks one of the most significant early-stage commitments in the advanced air mobility sector to date. LYTE Aviation has secured a total of €1.42bn in pre orders, while fine tuning its technology simultaneously.

The SkyClinic: A Hospital That Lands Anywhere
Climate catastrophe is accelerating. Earthquakes, floods, wildfires, and humanitarian crises are increasing in both frequency and severity. When disaster strikes, the first things lost are not just lives, they are airport runways, road infrastructure, and hospital facilities. LYTE Aviation is solving this problem at its root.

The SkyClinic will be capable of deploying advanced medical surgeries directly to your doorstep, to any disaster zone, conflict region, or underserved community on Earth. Requiring as little as a 50-metre landing field, the SkyClinic can position itself at the doorstep of those who need it most, without necessarily the need for runways, helipads, or existing infrastructure.

Equipped with state-of-the-art medical systems, the SkyClinic supports both traditional onboard surgical teams, with full operating theatre capability for surgeons and nurses, and up to six patients and next-generation remote robotic surgery equipment via integrated AI-powered surgical platforms.

This hybrid medical model ensures that no matter the location or available personnel, life-saving procedures can be performed anywhere in the world, and many more lives can be saved.

Freshta Farzam, CEO and Founder of LYTE Aviation, said: “I am deeply proud of what we have achieved and humbled by the extraordinary people who believed in this vision before the world caught up with it. From OEM manufacturers and technology suppliers to early off takers and humanitarian partners, the support we have received across every sector tells me that the world is ready for a new solution.

“The SkyClinic is not just an aircraft. It is a platform, a flying hospital, a logistics node, and a zero-carbon propulsion testbed all in one. The conditional purchase order from Vman Aviation is a profound validation of that vision. We are creating the aircraft for the next 100 years, and Vman Aviation is one of our main visionary and much appreciated customers on our journey.

She added: “Working alongside one of the greatest Indian visionaries and leading aviation businesses enables alignment between aircraft development and operational realities in India, especially for medical emergencies that we intend to cover with our SkyClinic.”

A Breakthrough in Propulsion: PowerBridge Technology
Central to the SkyClinic’s capabilities is a major propulsion engineering breakthrough achieved by the LYTE Aviation technical team. Through the development of its proprietary PowerBridge, an advanced powertrain improving efficiency of their combustion and electric engines, fueled by fuel cells and liquid hydrogen, LYTE has reduced the aircraft’s engine count from eight to four, dramatically simplifying the powertrain architecture, reducing overall weight, increasing reliability, and cutting maintenance costs for operators.

This innovation solves one of electric aviation’s most persistent bottlenecks: the ceiling on available electric motor horsepower, currently limited to approximately 1,000 HP per unit on the commercial market. LYTE Aviation is aiming to accelerate the global transition to zero-carbon flight, and eventually enable fully hydrogen electric flights in the future.

Vman Aviation’s role

Vman Aviation is a Mumbai-based boutique aviation services firm and India’s pioneering leasing entity established in GIFT City. Backed by a team with more than 85 years of combined experience across global aviation markets, Vman delivers specialized solutions spanning aircraft and helicopter leasing, asset management, fleet technical management, and business consultancy.

Built on a philosophy of customized, geography-agnostic solutions, the company supports a diverse range of operators, from regional startups to established airline groups.

Vman has played a key role in enabling critical aviation infrastructure by leasing equipment across essential segments, including helicopters, pilot training (aircraft and simulators), regional aviation, and freighter operations. Its decision to place a 10-unit conditional order for SkyClinic further reinforces this commitment, positioning Vman as a founding off-taker in the emerging global flying hospital sector.

Vishok Mansingh, CEO of VMAN Aviation, said: “India, the world’s most populous nation, is on a clear path to becoming a developed country by 2047, the 100th anniversary of the Republic, with equitable access to advanced healthcare as aritical pillar of this vision. However, building specialized hospitals across every region, particularly in Tier 2, Tier 3, and remote hinterland areas, is neither practical nor economical.

“To bridge this gap, Vman has ordered 10 SkyClinic eVTOL-based airborne medical units for deployment across India. Enabled by high-speed 5G/6G connectivity and equipped with advanced surgical and diagnostic capabilities, SkyClinic can deliver specialized medical services directly to underserved locations.

“This transformative platform will democratize access to high-quality healthcare at a fraction of the cost of traditional infrastructure, reduce patient migration to major cities, optimize the deployment of specialized medical expertise, and support India’s journey toward inclusive, future-ready healthcare for all.”

LYTE Aviation: A History of Firsts
Founded in 2023 and established on the global aviation stage, LYTE Aviation first gained international recognition as the developer of the LA-44, the world’s first 40-seat hybrid-hydrogen electric tandem tilt-wing eVTOL aircraft, the SkyBus.

The LA-44 set a new benchmark for zero-emission regional air mobility, with a range of up to 1000 km, demonstrating that large-capacity electric aviation is not a distant ambition but an engineer-able reality.

With prior 23 pre orders for its SkyBus and SkyTruck, the additional 10 pre orders for its SkyClinic validate its market demand. LYTE expanded immediately their portfolio from the LA-44 SkyBus with the SkyTruck, a 4.5-
tonne payload cargo eVTOL variant, establishing a platform architecture capable of serving both commercial logistics and humanitarian supply chains in environments unreachable by conventional aircraft, point to point.
