LYTE Aviation to work with Kookiejar and push forward its plans for heavy payload drone delivery operations

LYTE Aviation has established a partnership with vertiport developer Kookiejar, as the company plans to next logical steps for its heavy payload drone drone delivery operations.

The company is pioneering the worldwide first 40-seater eVTOL aircraft for point-to-point delivery of passengers, known as the SkyBus, and additionally, as a cargo variant for 4.5 ton cargo.

SkyBus offers a range of 620 miles (1,000 km) with a max speed of 190 mph (300 km/hr). It features a tandem tilt-wing design and a full-scale prototype is being planned within 24 months, with serial production to commence within five to six years. At present, no other company is building a VTOL with a 40-passenger capacity.

Freshta Farzam, CEO and founder at LYTE Aviation, said: “This will change entire industries, including food and pharmaceuticals. Imagine reducing cargo delivery times from nine hours on the road via truck to three hours via SkyTruck in the air.

“Additionally, our customers require scalable and modular vertiport and vertistop solutions, easy and quick to implement. For door to door cargo deliveries, KookieJar is the ideal solution for our SkyTruck.

“As we are the frontrunners now in heavy payload, point-to-point, delivery of passengers and goods, we are partnering up only with the prime infrastructure solutions on the market. KookieJar has an amazing product, vision and business approach, therefore we are very proud to fulfil this partnership, which is in complete alignment with our 10-year strategies.”

Inspired by the Swedish IKEA Concept, Kookiejar’s modular approach of building vertiports allows cities and municipalities to create an efficient network, coupled with existing and non-existing infrastructure, Kookiejar inexpensive solutions allow flexibility to deploy vertiport network enabling air mobility for all.

Kookiejar is an Advanced Air Mobility infrastructure service provider, which specialises in solutions that establishes droneports and vertiport sites. With a strong focus on safety and compliance, the company is committed to delivering high-quality services that meet the stringent requirements of EASA and other aviation regulatory bodies.

Michael Pettersson, CEO / KookieJar, added: “With LYTE Aviation, we get a partner to develop our infrastructure for heavy-weight drone freight transport with long range. There is a growing demand for delivery of larger items/ goods and through this cooperation we can improve effiency and reduce delivery costs.”
