LYTE Aviation to work with Kookiejar and push forward its plans for heavy payload drone delivery operations
LYTE Aviation has established a partnership with vertiport developer Kookiejar, as the company plans to next logical steps for its heavy payload drone drone delivery operations.
The company is pioneering the worldwide first 40-seater eVTOL aircraft for point-to-point delivery of passengers, known as the SkyBus, and additionally, as a cargo variant for 4.5 ton cargo.
SkyBus offers a range of 620 miles (1,000 km) with a max speed of 190 mph (300 km/hr). It features a tandem tilt-wing design and a full-scale prototype is being planned within 24 months, with serial production to commence within five to six years. At present, no other company is building a VTOL with a 40-passenger capacity.
