LYTE Aviation to work with LYNEports and Bluenest by Globalvia on vertiport infrastructure in Middle East region
LYTE Aviation will work with LYNEports and Bluenest by Globalvia to enhance vertiport infrastructure in the Middle East.
As part of a new partnership announced today (Thursday), it builds on LYTE’s successful receipt of 23 pre-orders worth €920 million for its innovative SkyBus aircraft and cargo variant — the SkyTruck.
As the Middle East accelerates its vision for Advanced Air Mobility, LYTE is strategically aligning its efforts with Oman’s Vision 2040 and UAE’s initiatives to develop the region’s future in sustainable transport.
Freshta Farzam, CEO of LYTE Aviation, said: “We are currently engaged in discussions with several governments around the globe and collaborating with esteemed manufacturing partners and investors. The Middle East represents a significant opportunity for our SkyBus and SkyTruck, designed for regional ranges of up to 1000 km, facilitating interconnectivity for mass passenger transport and net-zero cargo solutions.
“The UAE is advancing at a high speed with their plans for smart cities by using also two-seater air taxis and we see this as a great opportunity for us to also add our larger 40-seater SkyBuses at the seat price of $39 to the matrix.
“Same goes for Oman’s future vision 2040, our SkyTruck will enable net zero achievements in their logistics sector and allow their population to travel quicker and cheaper from point to point instead of two-hour car journeys, to take our SkyBus and reach their destination within 30 minutes.
“This is an absolute game changer for the hospitality and tourism industry, for government employees, for passenger mass transit in general and for cargo deliveries from door to door, like it has never been done before.”
LYNEports, known for its Aerodrome Planning and Design Software, focuses on creating efficient air travel infrastructures, while Bluenest Vertiport, an innovation arm of Globalvia, aims to manage vertiports and advanced air mobility solutions, placing citizens at the center of their operations.
Through this partnership, LYTE aims to support infrastructure which supports the SkyBus and SkyTruck, but also catalyses the ecosystem for air logistics and automated services with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
Rasha Alshami, CEO and Founder of LYNEports, said: “LYTE Aviation’s ambitions align perfectly with our goal of designing and optimizing aerodromes that support emerging air mobility solutions. Our collaboration promises to create a sustainable infrastructure framework that will advance the region’s transportation landscape.
“Our software includes pre-integrated workflows that allow planners and authorities to design aerodromes with dedicated hydrogen fuel cell infrastructure and clear zoning buffers. This is a great opportunity for us to join forces here and co-create advanced infrastructure with Bluenest by Globalvia and LYTE Aviation”
José Ignacio Rodriguez, Managing Director at Bluenest by Globalvia, added: “We are committed to revolutionizing the way communities interact with advanced air mobility. Partnering with LYTE allows us to leverage innovative technology, ensuring that vertiports are not just infrastructure, but key enablers of a comfortable and efficient transport system for all citizens and cargo.
”Bluenest has designed over 30 types of vertiports, including large-scale vertiports for eVTOLs with sizes ranging from 12m to 30m, equipped with electrical recharging capabilities, including hydrogen fuel cells.
“We can effortlessly scale up our medium sized vertiports to accommodate larger eVTOLs designed for heavy cargo or passengers, by resizing the FATO, parking/recharge and terminal areas. This collaboration presents a significant opportunity with LYTE Aviation’s SkyBus and SkyTruck and lay the proper infrastructure for them in the future, starting with the Middle East“.
