She has more than 30 years of expe­ri­ence in air traf­fic man­age­ment and her career includes over 20 years with the Fed­er­al Avi­a­tion Admin­is­tra­tion. Roles cov­ered air traf­fic con­trol, air traf­fic man­age­ment, sys­tem require­ments devel­op­ment, air traf­fic pro­ce­dures devel­op­ment, test and eval­u­a­tion and safe­ty
man­age­ment.

In our con­ver­sa­tion, we talk more about Inmarsat’s work to-date and the role it hopes to play in the emerg­ing Advanced Air Mobil­i­ty sec­tor. The com­pa­ny launched its scal­able UAV sat­com ser­vice, called Inmarsat Velaris, last year. Lisa also shares more insights on the crit­i­cal role it can play in unlock­ing the sec­tor’s unlim­it­ed pos­si­bil­i­ties and what it can achieve in the next five years.

We also talk about Inmarsat’s oth­er projects and Lisa gives her thoughts on the impor­tance of con­nec­tiv­i­ty in air traf­fic con­trol and unmanned avi­a­tion.
