“Sora Aviation, ANH Structure Sign MOU For eVTOL Cabin Development”
Sora Aviation, the UK-based developer of a 30-seat S‑1 eVTOL aircraft and ANH Structure, a global aerospace Tier 1 supplier based in South Korea, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the recent Paris Air Show to partner on the development of the cabin and cockpit interiors for the Sora S‑1, reports a press release.
This collaboration unites Sora’s work in large eVTOL design with ANH’s expertise in aerospace structures and cabin interiors. The two parties will focus on creating a lightweight, certifiable and passenger-focused interior, tailored to the unique mission profile of the S‑1, ranging from airport shuttle operations to regional air links.
Furqan, CEO of Sora Aviation, commented, “The S‑1’s planned wide range of missions demands a different approach to cabin layout, accessibility and baggage handling. We’re looking to develop a layout that is comfortable and intuitive for the people who will rely on it every day.”
He added, “ANH brings world-class capability in certified aerospace interiors, making them an ideal partner for this next phase of development.”
The release explains, “ANH Structure is the only South Korean aerospace company to hold both EASA Design Organisation Approval (DOA) and Production Organisation Approval (POA), making it uniquely positioned to support advanced aircraft programs targeting international certification and industrialisation.”

The company’s CEO, Hyon Su Ahn, remarked, “The S‑1 represents a smart, scalable solution to meet the growing demand for clean, efficient air mobility. Our experience in delivering high-integrity cabin and structural systems to global OEMs aligns perfectly with Sora’s vision of transforming aerial mobility.”
The MOU marks an important step forward in strengthening international collaboration between the UK and South Korea on Advanced Air Mobility, to accelerate the global rollout of zero emissions aircraft.
Aviation Minister Mike Kane said, “British aircraft design and manufacturing remains the best in business and it’s great to see this partnership demonstrate how UK firms are championing the design of advanced aircraft like eVTOLs.”
Adding, “Not only does this collaboration help maintain the UK’s position as a world leader in aviation it drives innovation, supports jobs and helps us deliver on our growth mission.”
