UrbanV, Future Flight Global “Launch Advanced Air Mobility Collaboration in Rome”

UrbanV, an Italian-based vertiport infrastructure developer and Innovative Air Mobility (IAM) services company, and Future Flight Global (FFG), an electric aircraft operator, are collaborating to form and deploy Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) services beginning in Rome, before later expanding to global markets, reports a press release.

This partnership brings together UrbanV’s expertise in infrastructure and multimodal connectivity alongside FFG’s operational capabilities in deploying a diversified fleet of eVTOL and conventional takeoff and landing (eCTOL) aircraft. The two parties aim to advance the integration of next-generation aviation into urban and regional mobility systems.

The collaboration launches in UrbanV’s home market of Rome. Expansion is planned across Italy (Emilia-Romagna, Veneto), the French Riviera and into high-growth markets in North America, South America and the Middle East.

Carlo Tursi, CEO of UrbanV, commented, “This agreement marks a significant step forward in our plan to bring AAM to life in Rome and beyond. We are thrilled to collaborate with FFG. Their leadership, vision and operational experience with conventional aircraft make them an ideal partner.”

Discussions with key ecosystem stakeholders are already underway to ensure regulatory alignment, infrastructure integration and airspace coordination upon launch.

Karan Singh, CEO of Future Flight Global, remarked, “Europe represents one of the most promising markets for Advanced Air Mobility and UrbanV’s strong network and foundational work in Rome and across Italy provide the ideal launchpad for FFG’s diverse fleet of aircraft.”

Key Partnership Elements

Operational Launch and Test Flights

The two companies will begin joint flight testing in Rome using existing infrastructure, including UrbanV’s UV‑0 test vertiport. Concurrently, both will develop an integrated business plan to support the transition from trialling to full-scale commercial operations.

Vertiport Development and Fleet Operations

UrbanV is to lead the design, construction and operation of vertiports across Rome and other regions. FFG will be responsible for deploying and managing a diversified fleet of eVTOL and eCTOL aircraft tailored to both urban and regional use cases.

International Market Expansion

The partnership will pursue new IAM opportunities in high-growth regions beyond Europe including North America, South America and the Middle East. Market selection is to be driven by infrastructure readiness, regulatory alignment and strategic demand.

Building a Scalable IAM Ecosystem

The focus includes multi-OEM aircraft operations, vertiport infrastructure, regulatory certification and  support services. Initial use cases span passenger and cargo transport, regional connections and coastal mobility.

Each aircraft platform was selected on its mission fit, regulatory maturity and integration potential.

A Global Vision for Advanced Mobility

This agreement outlines a clear roadmap to achieve that shared goal, while ensuring each deployment aligns with local regulatory, environmental and community requirements.
