Varon Vehicles and Flock confirmed as speakers at eVTOL Insights’ next virtual networking event later this month

With two weeks to go until eVTOL Insights’ next vir­tu­al net­work­ing event — held on the final Fri­day of every month — the next two speak­ers have been con­firmed.

Felipe Varon, CEO and Founder of Varon Vehi­cles, and Peter Stir­ratt from Flock, will both be giv­ing 15-minute pre­sen­ta­tions dur­ing the ses­sion, which will be on May 28th from 4pm‑5.30pm BST.

Felipe will pro­vide an update on Varon Vehi­cles’ work in Latin Amer­i­ca, where it is cur­rent­ly devel­op­ing its ‘Infra­struc­ture Net­works’ and plans to imple­ment the first urban air mobil­i­ty ser­vices in Colom­bia. It has already announced sev­er­al key part­ner­ships this year, with com­pa­nies includ­ing Jaunt Air Mobil­i­ty, Five-Alpha, TruWeath­er Solu­tions and PS&S.

With 18 years of expe­ri­ence in lead­ing edge mil­i­tary tech­nol­o­gy, Felipe is deeply involved with mil­i­tary and civil­ian unmanned aer­i­al sys­tems. He is a grad­u­ate in Finances, Con­tract­ing Law, Entre­pre­neur­ship and Inno­va­tion from sev­er­al uni­ver­si­ties includ­ing Har­vard and Mass­a­chu­setts Insti­tute of Tech­nol­o­gy (MIT).

Regard­ed as the drone insur­ance experts, Flock start­ed off in the drone indus­try using real-time data — such as pop­u­la­tion den­si­ty and wind speed — to quan­ti­fy, insure, and mit­i­gate drone flight risks.

Since 2018, Flock has insured thou­sands of inno­v­a­tive drone oper­a­tions glob­al­ly, from agri­cul­tur­al sur­vey­ors to NHS med­ical deliv­ery flights. Its tech­nol­o­gy has helped pilots around the world to fly safer, reduc­ing their risk expo­sure by 15 per cent on aver­age.

Reg­is­tra­tion is free for the event, which will start off with 30 min­utes of net­work­ing before the two 15-minute pre­sen­ta­tions. There will then be anoth­er 30 min­utes of net­work­ing to fin­ish.
