Watch Video: EHang Continues to Forge European Roots

While EHang is scant with news on the com­pa­ny web­site, it remains active via social media. Last week, EHang post­ed a tweet along­side a video, stat­ing the com­pa­ny is con­tin­u­ing to forge Euro­pean roots by per­form­ing tri­al flights at the Atlas Test Cen­tre, Jaén, in South­ern Spain. Of course, this is where Lil­i­um has been test­ing its own air­craft begin­ning in April, 2022. It appears Atlas is becom­ing a pop­u­lar cen­tre for eVTOL com­pa­nies.

EHang tweets, “Through EH216’s tri­al flights at ATLAS, EHang con­tin­ues explor­ing dif­fer­ent loca­tions, for esca­lat­ing its autonomous #eVTOL oper­a­tions and sup­port­ing the devel­op­ment of #UAM in Europe, in the frame of EU pub­lic-pri­vate col­lab­o­ra­tion pro­grams. This time, EH216 per­formed tri­al flights at ATLAS-Flight Test Cen­ter, of Cen­tro Avan­za­do de Tec­nologías Aeroe­s­pa­ciales (CATEC), in the south of Spain.

It will be worth­while fol­low­ing EHang’s social media to dis­cov­er where these next “EH216 oper­a­tions in Europe” are going to be.

The eagle-eyed watch­ing the video will see the Bluen­est name on the AAV. Bluen­est is a ver­ti­port con­struc­tion com­pa­ny formed in 2021 by trans­port infra­struc­ture and mobil­i­ty ser­vices con­glom­er­ate, Glob­alvia. EHang signed a part­ner­ship deal with Glob­alvia in July 2021 for ter­ri­to­ries cov­er­ing Spain and Latin Amer­i­can.
