Aeroauto, FLY2RV Partner “to Explore Distributing eVTOLs Across America”

Aeroau­to, describ­ing itself as “the world’s lead­ing eVTOL showroom/dealership and Advanced Aer­i­al Mobil­i­ty sys­tems inte­gra­tor”, announced this week plans to explore set­ting up a dis­tri­b­u­tion agree­ment for eVTOLs and relat­ed infra­struc­ture along­side over 100 of FLY2RV’s part­ner fixed base oper­a­tors (FBOs) around the U.S. The col­lab­o­ra­tion aims to make eVTOLs more acces­si­ble to main­stream con­sumers by allow­ing them to pur­chase and ser­vice the vehi­cles at local air­ports.

The expla­na­tion: Found­ed in Flori­da in 2021, Aeroau­to, was set up for the per­ceived and impend­ing “eVTOL rev­o­lu­tion”, by spe­cial­is­ing in infra­struc­ture and ser­vices, in par­tic­u­lar, set­ting up show­rooms and deal­er­ships for per­son­al fly­ing cars and car­go drones. Found­ed in 2019, FLY2RV is a lead­ing provider of pri­mar­i­ly rental Recre­ation­al Vehi­cles (RV) with loca­tions at over 100 U.S air­ports.

The planned show­rooms are designed to pro­vide cus­tomers with an edu­ca­tion­al expe­ri­ence, allow­ing them “to learn about the fea­tures and capa­bil­i­ties of eVTOL vehi­cles in a hands-on envi­ron­ment.” They also offer a con­ve­nient loca­tion for cus­tomers “to pur­chase eVTOL vehi­cles and sched­ule main­te­nance and repair ser­vices as well as flight instruc­tion.”

The part­ner­ship wish to be “a one-stop shop for all eVTOL needs” includ­ing indi­vid­ual, com­mer­cial, munic­i­pal, emer­gency and secu­ri­ty ser­vices. It states sev­er­al eVTOL mod­els are under nego­ti­a­tion for sale. These include the Air One, EHang 216 and VT30 and the Air­Car. The com­pa­ny also sees its role to install the charg­ing and land­ing infra­struc­ture required to sup­port such craft. Some may feel this is “all pie in the sky” and will remain a vision until, and if, full flight cer­ti­fi­ca­tion is giv­en to these per­son­al fly­ing cars.

Sean Bor­man, CEO of Aeroau­to, com­ment­ed, ”Our vision is for eVTOLs to become a main­stream mode of trans­porta­tion, which requires mak­ing them avail­able in peo­ple’s com­mu­ni­ties.” He con­tin­ued, “By part­ner­ing with FLY2RV, already serv­ing pri­vate pilots, air­craft own­ers and RV renters, we aim to build famil­iar­i­ty and com­fort with eVTOLs local­ly.”

Cus­tomers will be able to view, test dri­ve, and pur­chase Aeroau­to’s eVTOLs at par­tic­i­pat­ing FLY2RV FBO loca­tions in late 2023 and beyond via this new part­ner­ship. The FBOs will han­dle the vehi­cles’ sales, ser­vice, charg­ing and stor­age using infra­struc­ture installed by Aeroau­to part­ner com­pa­nies.

The com­pa­ny expects this “neigh­bor­hood fly­ing car deal­er­ship mod­el” to sig­nif­i­cant­ly boost the adop­tion of eVTOLs by mak­ing them more vis­i­ble and acces­si­ble to every­day con­sumers.
