China: EHang “Attention HotSpot” For Dignitaries and Public at Canton Fair
Last week the 133rd Canton Fair, the longest-running and largest event of its type in China, took place between April 15th and 19th. No surprise EHang was a star of the show after taking a large trade stand to exhibit three of its EH216 AAVs, reports eastwestconn.com.
Founded in 1957, the Canton Fair is held at Guangdong, in the Haizhou district of Guangzhou twice a year (Spring and Autumn). The Fair is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, and undertaken by the China Foreign Trade Centre. It is viewed as the most important international trade event in China. Last week’s show attracted both record numbers of exhibitors and crowds.

The three EHang AAVs on display were the passenger (216S); Fire (216F); and Cargo Logistics (216L). This was the first time EHang had exhibited its complete “family” together at such a major event. The media and public thronged to the company’s stand “mesmerised by the craft.”
Dignitaries from across China including Wang Shouwen (Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Commerce, International Trade Negotiator and Vice Minister at Ministerial level) and Ren Hongbin (Chairman and Party Secretary of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade); as well as influential leaders from around the world visited the stand, where EHang’s Chief Operating Officer, Fang Xin, and other company executives gave detailed summaries of the AAVs.

During the five-day exhibition, more than 150 potential Chinese and foreign buyers from Asia, Africa, South America and the Middle East, also came to the EHang stand for business consultation, technical exchanges and cooperation negotiations.
Meanwhile, the media swarmed around the displays offering eHang an array of extensive free publicity. Organisations included CCTV News, China Central Radio and Television, Xinhua News Agency, China News Agency, China Daily, Greater Bay Area Satellite TV, Southern Metropolis Daily, Interface News and Kyodo News.
