FIA 2026: Megha Bhatia of Eve Air Mobility Highlights $14B Backlog and New Commercial Commitments

At the Farnborough Air Show 2026, Eve Air Mobility’s Chief Commercial Officer, Megha Bhatia, shared major updates regarding the company’s eVTOL aircraft program.

Following an initial 59 successful hover flights, Eve has reinitiated its flight test campaign to prepare for the upcoming transition phase.

The company is leveraging its strong backing from Embraer to incorporate proven fly-by-wire technology, certification expertise, and global service capabilities. Eve maintains an industry-leading backlog of 2,700 eVTOLs valued at $14 billion across airlines, helicopter operators, business aviation, and lessors.

Commercial discussions have shifted toward real-world operations, focusing on safety, efficiency, and profitability.

Looking ahead, Eve plans to complete transition flight testing and begin assembling six conforming prototypes in late 2026 to support its certification campaign for a projected 2028 entry into service.
