Industry’s biggest players to share their expertise at virtual Urban Air Mobility conference

Air­bus, Bell Flight, Hon­ey­well Aero­space, Lil­i­um, Uber Ele­vate and Wisk are just some of the com­pa­nies speak­ing at Urban Air Mobil­i­ty 2020: Future of Aer­i­al Trans­port and Logis­tics.

The half-day vir­tu­al con­fer­ence takes place on Thurs­day, 22nd Octo­ber and has been organ­ised by the Bavar­i­an US Offices for Eco­nom­ic Devel­op­ment. As well as a keynote speak­ers and pan­el dis­cus­sions, there will also be start-up demos run­ning in par­al­lel.

Announc­ing the event, it said: “We are thrilled to pro­vide North Amer­i­can and Euro­pean com­pa­nies with a plat­form to exchange on sus­tain­able tech­nol­o­gy and busi­ness con­cepts that bring region­al devel­op­ment, the envi­ron­ment, and soci­ety into focus. Stake­hold­ers from across the Urban Air Mobil­i­ty are­na — from the pub­lic and pri­vate sec­tors to acad­e­mia — will come togeth­er to address one of the most press­ing issues of our time: the future of urban mobil­i­ty!”

Kick­ing off at 9am PT, an intro­duc­to­ry fore­cast will be led by Man­fred Had­er and Dr. Stephan Baur, Senior Part­ner and Prin­ci­pal at Roland Berg­er respec­tive­ly. Then the first pan­el will be about infra­struc­ture, start­ing at 9.40am.

Fea­tured speak­ers will be Julia Thayne, from Mobil­i­ty Inno­va­tion at the Office of Los Ange­les may­or Eric Garcetti, Dr. Tas­si­lo Wan­ner, VP of Pub­lic Reg­u­la­to­ry Affairs at Lil­i­um, Eric Bartsch, CEO and Co-Founder of VerdeGo Aero, Adri­enne Lind­gren, Lead State and Local Part­ner­ships Lead at Hyundai Motor Group’s Urban Air Mobil­i­ty Divi­sion, and Chad Sparks, Direc­tor of Strate­gic Cam­paigns at Bell.

At 10.45am PT, a keynote about tech­nol­o­gy will be led by Dr. Simon Briceno, Chief Com­mer­cial Offi­cer at Jaunt Air Mobil­i­ty, before the sec­ond pan­el dis­cus­sion at 11.15am PT focus­es on Plat­forms, Smart Pro­cure­ment and Col­lab­o­ra­tions in the eVTOL area.

This will get insight from Michael Buthut, Star­tups and Strate­gic Part­ner­ships at BrigkAIR, Dr Jia Xu, Senior Direc­tor of Strate­gic Plan­ning at Hon­ey­well Aero­space, Gary Gysin, CEO of Wisk, and Romain Legast, Head of Pro­cure­ment and Sup­ply Chain Strat­e­gy at Air­bus Urban Mobil­i­ty.

The final keynote will be at 12noon PT, where Eric Alli­son, Head of Uber Ele­vate, will be talk­ing about Oper­a­tions and Reg­u­la­tions. Straight after this, there will be a Bavar­i­an Hap­py Hour, which will give atten­dees more net­work­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties.

And as well as the speak­ers, there will also be com­pa­nies giv­ing demos of their prod­ucts along­side each pre­sen­ta­tion. They are AirMap, Fraun­dor­fer Aero­nau­tics, Elroy Air, Iris Automa­tion, Sky­ports, Zing Drone Deliv­ery, GET Corp and ANRA Tech­nolo­gies.

The Bavar­i­an U.S. Offices for Eco­nom­ic Devel­op­ment, with loca­tions in Cam­bridge, New Haven, New York and San Fran­cis­co, are the rep­re­sen­ta­tive offices of Germany’s largest and wealth­i­est state, Bavaria, in the USA.

They offer con­fi­den­tial assis­tance to com­pa­nies pur­su­ing EU/EMEA and DACH (Ger­many, Aus­tria and Switzer­land) mar­ket entry, and have forged suc­cess­ful rela­tion­ships in both the US and Ger­man tech­nol­o­gy and invest­ment ecosys­tems.
