Joby Establishes 45,000-Square-Foot eVTOL Hub in Fort Worth

Joby Aviation has opened a 45,000-square-foot facility at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport, establishing a new base for its planned advanced air mobility operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The facility, located within Hillwood’s AllianceTexas development in Haslet, Texas, represents Joby’s first significant presence in the state. The company will use the site to support preparations for flights under the U.S. Department of Transportation and Federal Aviation Administration’s eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP).

Joby is developing an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft for passenger transportation. The Fort Worth location is intended to provide a base from which the company can demonstrate potential air taxi operations across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

The new facility places Joby within AllianceTexas, a large aviation, logistics and transportation development anchored by Perot Field. The site includes connections to regional transportation infrastructure as well as public- and private-sector organizations working on advanced mobility.

Joby Chief Policy Officer Greg Bowles said the company’s presence in Texas will allow it to demonstrate air mobility services across the Dallas-Fort Worth area and the wider state. The company plans to work with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG), among other partners, as it prepares for eIPP operations.

“Welcoming Joby to AllianceTexas reflects our ability to pair flexible real estate solutions with the resources forward-looking companies need to grow,” said Samuel Rhea, vice president at Hillwood. “Joby brings an important new capability and demonstrates how AllianceTexas continues to evolve to support aviation, manufacturing and the advanced air mobility sector.”

Perot Field is also part of the AllianceTexas Mobility Innovation Zone, which brings together companies, policymakers and infrastructure partners working on air and surface mobility technologies. Joby’s arrival adds an eVTOL aircraft developer to that ecosystem as the region explores how electric aircraft could be incorporated into existing transportation networks.

“Joby’s presence at Perot Field is a significant milestone for the airport and for North Texas aviation,” said Christopher Ash, president of Alliance Aviation Companies. “By locating within the AllianceTexas Mobility Innovation Zone, Joby helps validate the collaborative work happening here and advances the integration of eVTOL technology across the region’s transportation network.”
