LYTE Aviation Partners with AMROS Global on Hybrid-Electric Powerplant for eVTOL
LYTE Aviation and AMROS Global have partnered to develop and deliver the PowerBridge HyVolt, a hybrid-electric propulsion system for LYTE’s 40-seat hybrid-hydrogen eVTOL aircraft, known as the SkyBus.
The PowerBridge HyVolt system combines conventional turbine engines with electric propulsion. According to LYTE, the integration is intended to support a 1,000 km range in fully electric cruise mode, targeting both defense and commercial applications where payload and range requirements have historically limited electric aviation options.

“Our work on the first 40-seat hybrid-hydrogen electric VTOL was only the beginning. With our PowerBridge HyVolt, we are advancing toward fully electric cruise flight with a 1,000 km range,” said Freshta Farzam, CEO and Founder of LYTE Aviation. “This partnership with AMROS supports development and commercialization of the system, which is also intended as a platform for other OEMs in the industry.”
The companies aim to advance the hybrid-hydrogen eVTOL toward certification and operations within the next few years. The PowerBridge HyVolt is designed to reduce fuel burn and emissions by increasing the share of electric propulsion.
“Innovation only succeeds when groundbreaking engineering is matched with operational expertise and a clear certification pathway. We are proud to support LYTE Aviation in bringing PowerBridge HyVolt from concept to commercial reality,” said Eros Tavani, Founder and Member of the Board at AMROS Global.
AMROS Global, a Switzerland-based company, provides aircraft technical management services including Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAMO), aircraft transitions, and engineering support. The company is supporting LYTE with the development and commercialization of the PowerBridge HyVolt solution.
