LYTE Aviation to use CRISALION’s Integrity air taxi for ‘last-mile’ transport, as part of new partnership signed at EBACE
LYTE Aviation has announced a partnership with CRISALION at this year’s EBACE event, where the company will use CRISALION’s five-seater air taxi Integrity for its ‘last-mile’ transport operations.
LYTE is working on their hybrid-hydrogen tilt-wing solution, which is hoping to operate within the next five to years. Their portfolio includes point-to-point mass transit of 40pax (SkyBus), cargo of 4.5 tons (SkyTruck) and 19 prime seats (X‑Prime).
And more recently, it has expanded its portfolio to a ‘TurboBus’ for Humanitarian Aid use cases, where the range is doubled to up to 2,000km and the speed is increased to 500/h! LYTE will additionally generate business for air taxis and drones through all these new use cases, which they actively promote.
Freshta Farzam (CEO & Founder LYTE Aviation, said: “We are in the position today to shape new routes and new collaborations the way we see our customers and future passengers will benefit most from.
And as being the only 40seater eVTOL in the industry, also called the SkyBus, we can lead the way by initiating strong ties with 2- to 4‑seater airtaxis and drones (up to 500kg) to take over the last mile for our passengers and customers in the future.
With this collaboration with Crisalion Mobility air taxi, we are taking UAM and RAM a step further by pioneering new routes and business cases in combination with our regional range of up to 1.000km and their short range of up to 200km, our large passenger capacity of 40 pax and their more compact capacity of 5pax. And we both offer point-to-point transfer, without requiring a runway.”
CRISALION is a developer of advanced electric mobility solutions which are efficient, safe and sustainable in the air and on the ground. Created in 2019, the company develops its own innovative technologies to provide solutions for Spanish and international mobility operators.
The company also boasts its own unique patented technology, FlyFree, which maximises aircraft stability and safety and has been tested successfully on European test flights.
Óscar Lara, Chief Operating Officer at CRISALION, added: “We are excited to work with LYTE Aviation to analyse and study the interfaces between their eVTOLs and ours.
“This is another step forward in Crisalion’s commitment to R&D&I and sustainability in air transport and will allow us to adapt to market needs, as eVTOLs are the future of the industry for both short- and long-haul flights.
“A significant number of market players will be involved in the new mobility ecosystem and it is a privilege for us to work with LYTE Aviation.”
