MD Aircraft Signs LOI for 10 MDA1 Aircraft with Makmor To Help Expand Electric Air Mobility in India
MD Aircraft GmbH has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the sale of 10 of its MDA1 eViatorTM aircraft to Makmor, headquartered in Bangalore, India.
This agreement marks a significant step toward expanding zero-emission regional aviation in the Indian market and further demonstrates the growing global demand for electric air mobility.
The German company is developing zero emission, quiet and cost-efficient electric aircraft for Regional Air Mobility. MD Aircraft’s flagship program, the MDA1 eViator, aims to help redefine air travel with initial flight tests scheduled in early 2028, and commercial certification and entry into service targeted for 2030.
MD Aircraft is part of the MD Group, including MD Flugzeugbau and MD Composites Technologies GmbH, which has more than 30 years’ experience designing, building and certifying composite aircraft. This includes a decade with electric propulsion.
