Paris Airshow: Archer Aviation, Stellantis Host European Debut of Midnight eVTOL Aircraft

Archer Avi­a­tion and man­u­fac­tur­ing col­lab­o­ra­tor, the auto­mo­tive com­pa­ny, Stel­lan­tis, are attend­ing the 54th Paris Air­show start­ing on June 19th. This will be the first time the partnership’s Mid­night Air­craft has been dis­played in Europe, reports a press release.

With planned com­mer­cial­i­sa­tion begin­ning in 2025, the pres­ti­gious French Air­show is an ide­al event for the Air­craft to be shown in all its glo­ry. Mid­night will be fea­tured cen­tre stage in Hall 5 at Le Bour­get Air­port, as part of the event’s ‘Paris Air Mobil­i­ty’ theme, along­side oth­er eVTOL air­craft.

The release explains, “Ded­i­cat­ed to the lat­est inno­va­tions and emerg­ing tech­nolo­gies in eVTOL, the Paris Airshow’s Air Mobil­i­ty event will bring togeth­er key play­ers of this sec­tor with three days of dis­cus­sions focused on the mat­u­ra­tion of advanced air mobil­i­ty and its impact on the future of aero­space.”

It goes on, “Stel­lan­tis is con­tribut­ing advanced man­u­fac­tur­ing tech­nol­o­gy and exper­tise, expe­ri­enced per­son­nel and cap­i­tal to the part­ner­ship. This com­bi­na­tion is intend­ed to enable the rapid scal­ing of air­craft pro­duc­tion to meet Archer’s com­mer­cial­i­sa­tion plans, and assist the com­pa­ny to avoid hun­dreds of mil­lions of dol­lars of spend­ing dur­ing the man­u­fac­tur­ing ramp up phase.”

Archer is viewed as one of the fron­trun­ners in the eVTOL race towards full com­mer­cial cer­ti­fi­ca­tion with ini­tial plans for two short flight routes over New York and Chica­go in 2025. 

The Mid­night will be dis­played in Hall 5 along­side oth­er eVTOLs includ­ing from Eve Air Mobil­i­ty, EHang, Volo­copter, Aut­oFlight, Lil­i­um and Ascen­dance Flight Tech­nolo­gies.

Mem­bers of the Archer team are also involved in var­i­ous keynote speak­ing events, dis­cus­sions and forums includ­ing com­pa­ny CEO, Adam Gold­stein, Tom Muniz (COO) and Tosha Perkins (Head of Peo­ple).
