The first Global Air Taxi News podcast takes off with Lilium’s Head of Communications

Glob­al Air Taxi News is delight­ed to announce the first episode of our pod­cast series has been released!

Each one will fea­ture bril­liant guests from com­pa­nies across the urban air mobil­i­ty indus­try, who will tell us more about their excit­ing devel­op­ments and future plans.

This week, we were joined by Lil­i­um’s Head of Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Oliv­er Walk­er-Jones, who explained the com­pa­ny’s incred­i­ble jour­ney since being found­ed in 2015 by the team of Daniel Wie­gand, Sebas­t­ian Born, Patrick Nathen and Matthias Mein­er.

All shared a com­mon vision of rev­o­lu­tion­is­ing the way we trav­el, and launched a two-seater air taxi pro­to­type in 2017. A five-seater air­craft called the Lil­i­um Jet com­plet­ed its first test flight last year.

This year, Lil­i­um secured an addi­tion­al $240 mil­lion in fund­ing, tak­ing the cur­rent total to more than $340 mil­lion. The com­pa­ny is now regard­ed as one of the key play­ers in the air taxi mar­ket, and push­ing on with plans to make the Lil­i­um Jet ful­ly oper­a­tional by 2025.
