Varon Vehicles’ next think tank to look at vertiports in Latin America
The concept of vertiports and where they wil fit in urban environments across Latin America will be the next topic discussed in the third think tank by Varon Vehicles.
The company is looking to bring stakeholders from across the industry into conversations about the implementation of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) in Latin America, and the one-hour virtual session takes place from 12noon — 1pm EDT on Friday, 11th September.
Topics to be discussed will include Lack of Urban Space/Ground Level Construction; Placement Selection/Integration to City Intermodality; Integration: TNCs, Parking, Micromobility; Passenger Demand Management and Modular vs. Landmark Designs.
Felipe Varon, CEO of Varon Vehicles, said: “The Think Tanks have been tremendously enriching, not only because we talk about UAM but because we’re looking at the specific implementation issues of UAM in Latin America. We’re seeing a lot of traction and the purpose of pushing forward our implementation plans is really being achieved, as the Think Tanks are accompanied by inside work with all participants.
“Those UAM stakeholders who have not registered so far should really do so because, even though the Think Tank recordings can be watched later, attending the live sessions allows you to listen to live interpretation between English and Spanish unlike the recordings, and allows all to interact with our world class panelists to get questions answered and thoughts conveyed.
“This is a tremendously valuable way to actively engage with the Varon Vehicles ecosystem as we push forward our first implementation of UAM.”
Confirmed speakers are Charles Clauser from PS&S Integrated Services, Sankar Villupuram of Arup, Gary Vermaak from AirTaxi Now, Lawrence Spinetta of KPMG, Clement Monnet, former CEO of Voom by Airbus, and Carlos Pardo — New Urban Mobility Alliance NUMO.
It will be hosted by Felipe Varon, CEO of Varon Vehicles, and co-hosted by Adriana Varon, Varon Vehicles’ Chief Financial Officer.
There are eight think tanks altogether and once completed, the findings from all of the conversations will be presented at a three-day summit called Skyscraper, which will take place from 18–20th November.
