Eve Air Mobility and RV Connex Partner on Thailand’s AAM Regulatory Framework

Eve Air Mobility and Thai aerospace company RV Connex have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to support the development of a regulatory framework for advanced air mobility (AAM) in Thailand.

The agreement is focused on establishing the regulatory and operational conditions needed for future commercial AAM services, including urban air mobility operations using electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

Under the MOU, the two companies will work on long-term industry and regulatory engagement, bringing together stakeholders from government, academia and the private sector. The collaboration will examine operational scenarios relevant to Thailand, as well as requirements covering safety, airspace management and infrastructure.

The partners said the work will draw on emerging international AAM standards while adapting them to Thailand’s aviation environment. RV Connex will take a role in coordinating with local stakeholders as the framework develops.

“Thailand offers a fantastic opportunity for urban air mobility,” said Johann Bordais, CEO of Eve Air Mobility. He added that working with a local partner would help establish the regulatory and operational foundations needed for the sector. “Working with RV Connex lets us help shape the regulations this industry needs to grow. This MOU shows our strong commitment to building the needed regulatory and operational foundations together with local partners.

“RV Connex wants to help make Thailand a leader in global advanced air mobility,” said Sujate Jantarang, president of RV Connex. “Our MOU with Eve Air Mobility and our partners will create a strong framework to help Thai authorities develop modern, globally aligned regulations for this new technology.”
