eVTOL Insights Podcast: Dean Moore and Tim Williams of Vertical Aerospace

In this week’s pod­cast episode we were delight­ed to wel­come back Ver­ti­cal Aero­space and speak to Dean Moore and Tim Williams.

Dean is the company’s Lead Flight Test Engi­neer and lead­ing the flight test cam­paign for its first cer­ti­fi­able eVTOL air­craft, the VA-X4, while Tim is Chief Engi­neer and respon­si­ble for lead­ing its devel­op­ment.

The pair update us about ongo­ing devel­op­ments at the UK firm and also pro­vide excel­lent insight into a host of top­ics, includ­ing the main fac­tors that need to be con­sid­ered when designed an eVTOL and the chal­lenges that have to be addressed along the cer­ti­fi­ca­tion route.

They also tell us what the com­pa­ny’s pro­ject­ed roadmap is look­ing like for the rest of the year, and hint at whether any of their future eVTOL air­craft could be autonomous­ly pilot­ed one day.
