Helipass and Micaelis partner to accelerate electric air mobility

Fol­low­ing the 54th Inter­na­tion­al Paris Air Show, Heli­pass and Micaelis will part­ner on glob­al air trans­porta­tion to inte­grate Micaelis eVTOLs into the Heli­pass glob­al net­work, start­ing with Brazil and France.

Micaelis co-CEO Vin­cent Kief­fer com­ment­ed: “This part­ner­ship enlight­ens a glob­al net­work col­lab­o­ra­tion by both com­pa­nies to trans­form the mobil­i­ty and intro­duce rapid­ly elec­tric air trans­porta­tion to new regions.”

Heli­pass CEO Frédéric Aguet­tant added: “By com­bin­ing our exper­tise and resources, we are under­lin­ing the impact of inno­va­tion with a strong com­mit­ment to expand­ing advanced air mobil­i­ty viable and acces­si­ble solu­tions bring­ing sig­nif­i­cant envi­ron­men­tal improve­ments.”

After hav­ing worked in the rideshare heli­copter world­wide ser­vices in par­al­lel, the two CEOs are now join­ing forces and run­ning a part­ner­ship pro­gramme under a com­mon vision to speed up the intro­duc­tion of safer, qui­eter and more sus­tain­able air trav­el.

Micaelis is set to focus on devel­op­ing prac­ti­cal appli­ca­tions for advanced air mobil­i­ty (AAM), includ­ing imple­ment­ing and test­ing routes and cus­tomer expe­ri­ence in Latin Amer­i­ca, where­as Heli­pass will fos­ter its intro­duc­tion to the Euro­pean mar­ket, pro­mot­ing future routes in France and oth­er Euro­pean coun­tries that could sup­port its AAM oper­a­tions.

This com­ple­men­tary Fran­co-Brazil­ian approach cap­i­talis­es on a new era of inter­na­tion­al coop­er­a­tion between both coun­tries and rep­re­sents a strate­gic move to build the sus­tain­able infra­struc­ture required to bring the con­cept of elec­tric avi­a­tion to fruition.
