PODCAST: ZURI’s Michal Illich on why its hybrid VTOL aircraft can help unlock regional air mobility travel
Our latest podcast episode is now live! This week, we were delighted to be joined by Michal Illich, CEO and founder at ZURI.
In this episode, Michal talks to us about the reasons why he set up ZURI to develop a hybrid VTOL aircraft to unlock regional air mobility.
He talks about the latest design phase, which was announced at the end of 2022, and also share more details about their current roadmap — which includes some exciting flight tests performed earlier this year.
While ZURI’s goal is to change the way people experience on-demand, door-to-door mid-range flights, Michal talks about the value its aircraft can have on the future aviation market, as well as the various different use cases the aircraft can be configured for — such as medievac and cargo logistics.
We also talk about the cost advantages of hybrid aircraft over conventional aircraft and helicopters and Michal provides an update on ZURI’s latest fundraising round.
