Everdrone Names Emil Granberg as Chief Technology Officer
Swedish autonomous drone company Everdrone has appointed Emil Granberg as its new chief technology officer, following an internal transition that keeps leadership of the company’s technology development within its existing team.
Granberg took over as CTO in June 2026, succeeding Michael Öhman, who left the company on August 28 after four years in the role. The transition was carried out gradually after Granberg assumed the position.

Granberg joined Everdrone when the company was founded in 2017 and has been responsible for developing its drone technology. In his new role, he leads a technical team of seven and oversees technology development across hardware, software and testing.
His appointment comes as Everdrone moves from development and pilot projects toward broader commercial operations. The company develops autonomous drone systems for emergency response and healthcare, including systems designed to deliver medical equipment such as automated external defibrillators to emergency scenes.
Everdrone’s platform has progressed from early prototypes to deployment in emergency response operations. Granberg said the next stage will focus on increasing capacity, reducing response times and expanding the technology’s applications in emergency medical care and other public services.
Everdrone is headquartered in Gothenburg and has been developing autonomous drone systems for emergency services and healthcare applications. The company has also been involved in pilot programmes and collaborations with public authorities in Europe as it works toward wider deployment.
