REGENT Craft Raises $240 Million to Scale Seaglider Manufacturing
REGENT Craft has raised $240 million in a Series B funding round as the Rhode Island-based company prepares to move from development into full-scale manufacturing of its Seaglider vessels.
The round comprises an equal mix of equity and debt and was co-led by Mare Liberum and AE Ventures, with debt financing provided by Erebor Bank. The latest funding brings REGENT’s total capital raised across equity and debt to $340 million.
The company is preparing for several milestones, including the first human flight of its Viceroy Seaglider prototype and the start of manufacturing operations at its recently completed 255,000-square-foot facility in Rhode Island.
REGENT is developing Seagliders as high-speed maritime vessels that use hydrofoils and wing-in-ground-effect technology to travel over water. The company is targeting both commercial and defense applications, with its product range including the piloted Viceroy and autonomous Squire.
Defencse demand has become an important part of REGENT’s growth plans. The company said it has an expanded $15 million contract with the US Marine Corps for the Viceroy, alongside increasing interest in the autonomous Squire platform. It has also conducted military demonstrations of Squire.
On the commercial side, REGENT said its order book spans six continents and includes multiple years of manufacturing capacity. The company has also announced The Twenty Five as its first commercial US delivery and launch partner.
The new funding will support manufacturing expansion, certification work and delivery programmes as the company moves toward production. REGENT is also developing international opportunities, including planned operations and potential future manufacturing in the UAE, a defense partnership in Poland and commercial opportunities in Greece.
